private connect and player_always (q3 ded)

I have a problem, Ive managed to set up a q3 dedicated server in Linux nad will run it on our upcoming Quake Tourney..
first
now ive set up the server configs and there is a private connect there.. with a password.. now how do I connect to these private slots to use them?=

how do i use the command player_always

As far as I know there is no such command as player_allways and no cvars that begin with player_*

as far as using the private clients features read the server guides on the main page here at AdminCentral.

Sv_privateclients 2

That setting would allow 2 "reserved spots" of your total maxclients setting. To "actually use" these spots you would have to wait until your server fills up, then when you try to login it would tell you the server is full, this is where you can enter your password and it will let you in the game in one of the 2 reserved spots.
