Q3TA server cfg [Archive]

I'm trying to get a dedicated TA server up. I didn't find much information on the variables that are used for TA. I finally found the game type config settings, but I still can't seem to get it to run. I've downloaded the bat files that were made forthe different game types, but they don't seem to work. I can run Q3 and Ra3 fine... but not Q3TA. Also, where can I find the map names so that can get a mapcycle started in the server.cfg?

Any help would be appreciated!

Open Winzip or similar compression/archive program and look in the pak0.pk3 file. IT's really just a zip file with the extension changed. Browse through it and look for the files with a .bsp extension. those are maps.

Zxel has been, or is about to look into TA to run a server, so if he's had time to look he might have more information on the batch files, and why they might not be working.

The first question i'd ask is what errors are you getting and what exactly do you mean by "doesn't work"

Make sure your batch files reside in the Quake3Arena folder not the missionpack or baseq3 folder. They will not work from there.

Running a Team Arena Server isn't really any differant from running a regular Q3 server. You just have to know a differant commands & the map names. If you want, I can send you my Team Arena config.

Sounds like good information, but does anyone know a sample configuration that's available online? I'm ready to run a TA server and have many Q3 servers online, but there is a BIG lack of commands for TA. I know its very similiar to Q3, but after hours of searching online I've ended up here - good resource by the way. Does anyone know someplace that's documented the new command lines for TA config files? If someone could throw a sample config my way, that'd be cool too.
