Excessive Tournament Listen Server.

I'm trying to piece togther a NOTION about how to setup a Listen Server for Excessive Tourney. I've run servers on Tribes, but not Q3. I was wondering if anybody could help me out. How would I code the .cfg file for it? To personalize it, I mean... There's a batch file WITH the Excessive server download, but it sucks... Any ideas?

Okay, sorry... I think I figured it out. ;> ONE MORE question, though... HOW can I run AND play on a server while still having it visible to people online? If I have +set listen 2 can people in Gamespy find me? Just curious? Well, thanks for any offered help. ;> Ciao 4 Now..

The command is +set dedicated 2 for a public server (dedicated 1 for a listen server), all that really does is turn the servers heartbeat on or off. http://gameadmins.com/ubb/wink.gif

Are you playing on the same machine that your serving on (yuk! yuk! a big no-no - can you say lag city? - hehe). It is possible though 2 different ways. One way is to start the server up inside quake3 thru the multiplayer menu (do not select dedicated server), this will leave you in the game while your serving it. The second way is to run your server thru a batch file then minimize it, fire up quake3 as you normally do and connect to your server - play away.
