Can't alt-tab out of Q3

I can't alt-tab out of Q3. Any suggestions? Plenty of memory (256)

Try Alt-Enter.

That will make quake3 into a windowed mode.

I think they turn off the alt+tab keys in the code. Also try ctrl+esc (equivelent to windows key) use windows key if you have one. I use a keyboard without one because it had gotten in the way when playing games.
