Not only a Noobie - Bur thick as well

Hi,

I have just rented a couple of Linux servers, one running Mohaa.

Sorry to ask a question that has probably been answered b4. But, I can't find it anywhere on the forums.

I have tried to upload maps into the "main" folder on the server. But, when I ask for a maplist in RCon it only displays the "defaults".

Have I uploaded to the wrong folder? or is this normal?

MOHAA is a Quake3 based game engine. If the MOHAA guide seems to be missing something, then check out the Q3 guides.

Quake 3 uses baseq3 to hold all the configs, map files, skin pak files. So, once you upload your maps, they need to be moved to the baseXX folder. Darn if I know what it's called. :) Type ls if this is s linux machine to see your folder names, and cd and the name of the folder.

Once you have all the maps in the folder, you will need to either edit the maps.cfg file, or the server.cfg file to add your new maps to rotation. Then they will show up when you ask for them.
